Why Barn Lot Design Matters

A barn lot that floods every spring is a barn lot you fight all year. A working pen with bad layout adds an hour to every cattle working day. A pad that was not compacted right turns into ruts the first time you drive a loaded trailer across it.

We think about all of that before we move a bucket of dirt. Drainage, slope, traffic patterns, where the gates need to be, and where the cattle are going to want to flow. Then we grade and prep accordingly.

Our Process

1

Walk the site

We meet you on the property, look at what you have, and talk through how you want to use the space.

2

Design and layout

Sizing, drainage, traffic flow, and gate placement. We make sure the plan works before we start digging.
3

Written quote

Clear pricing on grading, materials, and any related work.
4

Site work

Clearing, grading, hauling fill, and compacting to spec.
5

Surface installation

Stone, gravel, or compacted base depending on what the lot will be used for.
6

Final walk-through

We show you the finished lot and make sure it works the way you need it to.
